If I Were An Angel
Lois McEntire

If I were an angel,
Your test upon time
As we suffer the pain,
Of your thoughtless crime.

So how will you fare
When Judgment Day comes,
As you stand there before Him
And he reminds you, what you have done.

The mother, the children,
The tears that we've cried.
Safe loving arms,
Hearts free from your lies.

But cry, you condemned us.
You tore us apart.
One day you will pay,
For your cold sinful heart.

If I were an angel
And stood by your side,
Not to condemn you,
But just as a guide.

Would you heed my words,
Would you walk in the light.
Or would you be cowardly,
And hide in the night.

...If I were an angel.

This is dedicated to all the good, loving, single mothers and their precious children. Families who were unjustly torn apart. And to my little ones; I will never rest til you are home where you belong. I live and love for you.
